The Frontal Lobe forms the anterior pole of each cerebral hemisphere. This lobe lies anterior to the parietal lobe and superior to the temporal lobe. The central fissure/sulcus forms the posterior boundary on the lateral surface of the frontal lobe, whereas the lateral fissure/sulcus forms its inferior surface along the lateral surface of the brain. Additional information on the cortex of the frontal lobe is provided in Tutorial 21.
