This tutorial is provided by the Centre for Psychology, Athabasca University and is offered as a resource for completing psychology essays and research papers in APA style. Every effort has been made to ensure that the tutorial information complies with the most recent revisions to the APA Publication Manual, 6th edition. Additional information is available from the APA Publication Manual (6th ed.) itself or from the APA (6th ed.) Resources links in this tutorial.
The style of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA) is required by most, if not all, psychology journals and is a widely-used formatting style for books and student papers. You are required to use the APA (6th ed.) style for formatting your psychology papers.
