For this assignment, you will need to select an AT tool to review. You may choose a tool in one of the following ways:
- Review an AT tool that is currently available in your classroom or school.
- Contact your local special education director to determine whether an appropriate AT tool is available for you to review within your school system.
- Download a free software demo of an AT tool from the Web for review purposes.
- Request to review an AT tool kit from the Athabasca University Library. If you choose this method, be sure to allow 10 to 14 days for delivery of the tool kit. The Library lending period for the AT tool is three weeks, after which it must be returned to the Library.
If you would prefer to review an AT tool that is not on the list given here, you must discuss your choice with your tutor and receive his or her permission before you proceed with the assignment.
Your completed assignment is to be written in essay form, following APA format. It is to be 12 to 15 word-processed pages in length, double-spaced. Submit your completed assignment to the Assignment Drop Box for grading and feedback. This AT tool review is worth 22% of your final grade for the course.
