Are you interested in taking Psyc 289 at substantially reduced cost? See the Challenge for Credit Option.

Psychology 289: Psychology as a Natural Science comprises five units as indicated below. Each unit covers approximately the same amount of material. In some cases, however, the units focus on rather different topics, mainly because it is customary for an introductory psychology course to survey different subject matter areas. Browse through the Study Guide to get an idea of the topics covered in the five units.

See our 20 tutorials in Biological Psychology that should help you learn the material in Unit 2 and our Online Glossary that defines, exemplifies, and provides further information about key terms used in the course.

Update 2006-SEP-01: Please see the course announcement regarding a change in the Student Manual.

Update: Please see the errata sheet (PDF version) for the latest corrections to the course materials. The following PDF files incorporate the changes listed in the errata sheet: Student Manual, Study Guide, and Quiz Package.
